1. Brillen Müller store by Heikaus, Wittlich (Germany)
The specialist shop offers its customers state of the art examination and diagnostic techniques in optics and acoustics, and also attractive looking eyewear. The designer’s task was to combine all of these areas on one floor and form a centre of competence for the senses, but in a tasteful and functional way. The soft colour palette with the use of different materials to add texture creates a calming space, and helps define each of the different areas of the store well. The consultation areas are tasteful and are positioned away from the entrance of the store to create privacy, using materials and colours such as a rose gold, and millennial pink accents which are on trend. The store is definitely far away from your typical opticians, and would in no way be an uncomfortable or boring experience, which tends to be the case in most instances when having an eye test.
We love… the fresh calming feel that the whole interior gives.
