Having looked back over 2019 we realised that quite a few amazing and diverse stores/restaurants that opened were all in Birmingham!

Therefore here is a look back at some of our favourites in chronological order as it was hard to pick a No.1.

FEBRUARY saw two very different but equally exquisite eateries open.

Tattu - they occupy a charming space within the city’s historic Grand development. The design concept takes inspiration from the ancient Chinese philosophy of Yin Yang.

@pizza by Fusion by Design - The restaurant features urban materials and the brand’s striking monochrome theme throughout which complements the fast and unique way to order pizza. Such a bold and striking interior is different and echoes the exclusive food offering.

There is also an emphasis on sustainability in the flagship with the retailer offering its recycling scheme, where customers can easily recycle pre-loved clothes and shoes from any brand, as well as placing water fountains throughout the store, so customers can fill up their own water bottles, while all water sold in the store is in recyclable or recycled packaging.

The Oyster Club by Faber Design

Being able to dine with friends in a relaxed environment was key and facilitating by the huge, curved oyster bar. The design hints at the colours, textures and shapes within the sea without being too literal.

In contrast to the elegance to The Oyster Club MAY saw the opening of the Kitty Café.

The café was designed by CPMG Architects, with biophilic design elements to ensure the wellbeing of both its human and animal guests.
