Yesterday we visited Retail Design Expo at Olympia, in London.

As always the show was an impressive round up from Design agencies, to retail display specialists, as well as suppliers for materials, lighting, and all things retail!

As well as meeting new companies, and finding out about new developments within the industry, as Designers we were particularly interested in the creativity and design of the stands themselves, and here are some of our favourites...

‘Kokoon’ (above) created an intriguing space which was created by filling the entire volume of the stand with hanging paper. On two side the strips were cut back to create an inviting ‘tunnel’ leading to a concealed area within the middle of the stands where 3 No. screens are located. This was very effective and certainly engaged with visitors.

‘Bright Green’ (left)  brought some colour to the show with their stand which included a ‘Green Wall’ filled with examples of their ‘replica, and persevered trees, plants & flowers’.

Once again ‘Whiteroom’ adopted a monochrome themed interactive space in which visitors could fill in the blanks on their ‘What does retail look like to you?’ wall.

‘Re-board’ demonstrated the strength and capabilities of their product with an impressive, large model of an ‘X-Wing’ fighter, suspended above their stand.

Here are a few other things which caught our eye!
